C'est toujours un immense plaisir pour l'équipe d'accueillir Stéphane PANNETIER LE HÉNAFF dit PLH, sans doute le plus jeune des artistes avec qui nous travaillons et qui fait déjà largement partie de la famille Têt de l'Art. Il est vrai que le personnage n'épargne pas sa sueur et si nous l'avons déjà suivi sur des manifestations artistiques à Petite-Rosselle et à Forbach, c'est pour sa première exposition personnelle que nous sommes heureux et fiers de l'accueillir ce soir. Comment ne pas un sentir un potentiel insondable chez ce jeune homme à la ferveur exaltée en son art et à la réflexion troublante ?

It is a great pleasure for the whole team of the Galerie Têt’de l’Art to welcome Stéphane PANNETIER LE HÉNAFF so-called PLH, no doubt the youngest artist with whom we work and who is now a member of the family of Têt de l'Art.  He works with his sweat as we have already seen him at artistic events at Petite-Rosselle and at Forbach, it is for his first personal painting exhibition that we are happy and proud to welcome him this evening.  How not feel he has potential, and an unfathomable one and an exalted fervor in his art that has a disturbing reflection ?

Originaire de Avranches, Normandie, Stéphane s'installe avec ses parents sur Metz en 2011 et obtient son baccalauréat S option Arts Plastiques. Il délaisse immédiatement après la voie des sciences pour celle de l'art et s'inscrit à l'université de Metz en Arts Plastiques.

Stéphane comes from the commune of Avranches in Normandy.  His parents settle with him in Metz in 2011 and he obtains his scientific baccalauréat with A levels in fine arts.  He gives up science for art and registers in fine arts at the University of Metz.

 
A l'âge de 17, au cours d'un stage dans un laboratoire en Suisse, Stéphane est exposé et irradié au Phosphore 32. L'accident va signer le début des préoccupations environnementales de Stéphane, qui vont le pousser à s'engager politiquement. Rapidement, il épouse également la cause féministe.

At the age of 17, while on a training course in a lab in Switzerland, he is exposed and irradiated with Phosphorus 32 (nothing too serious, don’t worry).  The incident will be the beginning of Stéphane’s environmental preoccupations, which will push him to commit himself politically.  Rapidly, he also espouses the cause of feminism.

Après des années de militantisme, il décide de stopper l'action politique pour l'art et de continuer son activisme par la peinture.
After years of militancy, he decides to stop his political action for art and to continue his activism in painting.
Bouillonnant de concepts, il décrit son travail comme « la rencontre du figuratif flou et du figuratif clair ». Sur une toile comme « L'abandon », il évoque pour la première couche à l'aquarelle l'influence de Gustav Klimt, puis couche sa version à l'encre de Chine de l’œuvre homonyme de Camille Claudel pour finalement casser l'équilibre des deux premières couches par un QR code en citant Banksy. Nous vous encourageons donc à flasher avec vos téléphones portables les toiles de PLH pour bénéficier pleinement de l'expérience et apprécier le mordant de son humour.

Bubbling of concepts, he describes his work as «  a meeting point between the blurred figurative and the light figurative ».  On a painting like « L’abandon », he evokes the influence of Gustav Klimt for the first layer in watercolor, then for the work of his namesake Camille Claudel  in Indian ink.  He then breaks the balance of the two first layers with a QR code quoting Bansky.  Therefore do we encourage you to flash with your smartphone on PLH’s paintings in odrer to fully benefit from the experiment and in order to appreciate his mordant humour.
